Congratulations to the TCHS Concert and Jazz Bands for some amazing accomplishments!
Results from the Music in the Parks Festival at Williamsburg:
1st Place Concert Band, Class A
Overall 1st Place Concert Band
Overall 1st Place Jazz Band
Outstanding jazz band soloist, Abbi Kimble, trombone
Scores from the judges:
Both judges gave the concert band a superior rating and an overall score of 98.
The jazz band received a superior rating as well. One judge gave them a 98 and the other one gave them a 97.5.
These are some incredibly high scores and very difficult to achieve!
One judge was from East Carolina University and the other was from Old Dominion University.
Way to go, Knights Band on these outstanding performances and well-deserved awards!

Attention Seniors - Americorps has openings in Pleasants and Wetzel counties for Energy Express Mentors - you will earn an educational scholarship as well as a monthly paycheck. If you are interested in becoming a teacher or working with children, this is a great opportunity. However, you can be studying any major and still get selected to participate - see Mrs. Stollings ASAP if you are interested!
Prom Tickets go on sale tomorrow. They are $20 each. Senior tickets are free, but you must pay for outside of class dates and YOU MUST PICK-UP A PACKET. Tickets will be sold all next week as well; NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
Attention Seniors - two scholarships are due tomorrow by noon- The Tyler County Retired School Employees and the Alma Senior Citizen's. The only scholarship left is the American Legion due May 3rd. Applications are available in the SSC.
WVU-Parkersburg offers need-based scholarships for students taking Early College classes their junior or senior years. Please see your counselor to apply. The deadline is June 1st.
Knights baseball had a hot start to the week setting the school record for wins last night with 24 on the year. Freshman Reese Davis pitched a shutout against Cameron on Monday night to win 4-0. Jayden Helmick got the win on the mound at Ritchie 16-4 and has homered the last 2 nights. Zade Billings, Ethan Clark, Carson Gorby, and Ty Walton also swinging hot bats during the winning streak.

Congratulations to the Tyler Consolidated High School STARS Team for winning first place in the Community Service Project Competition, with the Trunk or Treat and collaboration with Saturday Recess. In addition, they won the Architect Award for instilling positive character traits in their community. Great Job!
