Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We honor the lives lost and the brave individuals who acted as first responders to save the lives of others. May we never forget.
Today we had the opportunity to recognize, award, and celebrate some great student achievements for the class of 2025! As part of our incentive program for SAT achievement six students were awarded a TV or mini-fridge through a drawing as part of the overall success on the SAT last spring. The class of 2025 as a whole exceeded the state average in both Math and English while increasing their PSAT scores by 58 points! For their efforts, the entire senior class will get to enjoy a school day trip in the future! Also, we have had several students who have already made the ultimate commitment to serve in a branch of the U.S. military following graduation! Congratulations and best of luck to Devin, Isaac, Caedin, and Gabe! We look forward to more great things to come from the class of 2025. #KnightsPride

The cross country team competed in Mineral Wells this morning. Placing for the Knights were Amos Kimble (4th), Travis Moore (13th), and Brody Nice (32nd). Great job today to all of the runners!! Now they will gear up for our home meet this Tuesday at Arthur I. Boreman Elementary. Races start at 4:30. Come out and support these Knights!!! #KnightsPride

Congratulations to students Katie Ash and Evan Crawford! Katie and Evan were awarded the "Carry the Shield" award at the start of this school year. A great accomplishment! College for West Virginia (CFWV) coordinates three annual college-planning milestones to help students in West Virginia plan their pathway to education or training beyond high school. High schools that successfully participate in all three pathway events and meet specific criteria are recognized as CFWV Champions of College Access and Success schools. The three milestones have specific components to help students in West Virginia transition to postsecondary pathways. TCHS was one of just 40 high schools in West Virginia to be recognized! We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work to make this possible! #KnightsPride
