The Tyler Consolidated Wall of Fame:
We are excited and proud to announce this year’s inductees to the Tyler Consolidated Wall of Fame! A tradition that honors individuals whose lifetime of service, dedication, and heart have shaped the culture and spirit of Tyler Consolidated.
These three remarkable individuals poured their time, talents, and love into our school community. Their legacies will live on through all those they interacted with and the memories they created.
Meet the 2026 Wall of Fame Inductees:
Mrs. Susan Metz:
For over forty years, Mrs. Metz was the heart of our school community, offering unwavering support, compassionate guidance, and a listening ear to countless students, staff, and families. What sets Mrs. Metz apart is not just her professional excellence, but the genuine care she showed to every individual who walked through her door.
Whether helping a student navigate academic challenges, supporting someone through a personal crisis, or simply offering a kind word, Mrs. Metz brought empathy, wisdom, and kindness into every interaction. Beyond the counseling office, she played a vital role in shaping a positive, inclusive school culture. From leading mental health initiatives and wellness programs to organizing peer support groups and mentoring colleagues, Mrs. Metz has left an indelible mark on our school and our hearts.
She “walked the walk” and even took students into her personal home when they had no place to go. Several former students have said that without her love and support they doubt they would have finished high school, let alone find success in the workforce. Always the champion for the underdog, Mrs. Metz had a way of making everyone feel like someone.
Mr. Matthew Boggs: (In Memory)
A 1997 graduate of TCHS, Matt’s legacy reflects extraordinary strength, generosity, and love for Tyler Consolidated. Despite facing a cancer diagnosis, Matt continuously gave back to the school and its students, finding ways to meet needs, support programs, and uplift those around him. He had a special place in his heart for students, and consistently demonstrated that care through action rather than words.
Matt played a vital role in ensuring student-athletes had access to equipment, participation fees, and opportunities regardless of their situation. He also valued academic opportunity, contributing to the early efforts of what became The Scholarship of Hope presented in his honor and now his memory, where he advocated for empowering students based on character and heart. Through his ownership of Boggs Pizza & Grill, Matt further supported Tyler Consolidated by providing meals, donations, and assistance to numerous fundraising initiatives. For Matt, it was all about the kids.
Matt was never motivated by recognition, but by a genuine love for students and belief in the mission of Tyler Consolidated. He consistently used life’s challenges to model resilience, positivity, and strength, leaving a lasting impression on the school community that is still honored today.
Matt Boggs truly embodied what Tyler Consolidated stands for, strength.
Mr. Roger Ankrom: (In Memory)
Mr. Roger Ankrom served Tyler Consolidated Middle and High School throughout the entirety of many alumni and staff members’ years on campus, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership through his work ethic, commitment, and quiet professionalism. Mr. Ankrom led by example every day, setting the standard for service personnel and staff across Tyler Consolidated.
His dedication was most visible in the immaculate condition of the school’s grounds and facilities. Mr. Ankrom took tremendous pride in ensuring that the campus was always manicured, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and guests attending events of all kinds. His attention to detail and countless hours of behind-the-scenes work helped create an environment that reflected excellence and pride in Tyler Consolidated.
His actions spoke louder than words, and his unwavering commitment left a lasting impression on everyone who observed his hard work. He exemplified what it means to serve others and the school community. Mr. Ankrom’s induction into the Tyler Consolidated Wall of Fame honors not only his years of service, but also the leadership, pride, and dedication he modeled daily. Tyler Consolidated is grateful for his contributions and is honored to recognize his legacy.
It is with great pride and a heartfelt gratitude that we honor these remarkable individuals as the newest members of the Tyler Consolidated Wall of Fame!
A public ceremony will be hosted on May 4th at 6:00pm at the Tyler Consolidated Auditorium to celebrate these individuals!
