SES kindergarten classes visit Discovery World in Parkersburg. Fun was had by all! The bus driver, Brian Dennis, complimented them on their behavior on the bus and at facility.











SES had a visit today from a major celebrity, Buster the Bus! He visited our students to educate them on bus safety. Thank you to Richard Davis, Tyler County Schools transportation Director, for organizing the visit. I would also like to thank Tyler County Schools bus drivers Roy Glover, Kayla Shields, and Amanda Spencer for assisting with the bus safety presentations.

The staff of Sistersville Elementary School is pleased to announce our Squires of Character for the first nine weeks. Thank you students! You should be very PROUD of yourselves! I know our staff is very proud of each of you for being such wonderful examples in our classrooms and our school!



Mrs. Olaru had our students create "feathers" for this beautiful set of wings. They also learned about Frida Kahlo, an amazing artist. She famously quoted "Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?". This quote was the inspiration behind each individual feather.


SES will once again honor our Veterans for their service with our traditional Veterans Breakfast on November 11, 2024 from 7 am to 9 am. All Veterans and their families are invited to the event!!!


Look who was "Caught Being Good", Ryder Weston, by choosing to go to Mrs. Thoburn to learn a new math strategy! Awesome job!!!



The SES Book Vending Machine Monday winners are Adalyn Stevens and Emma McNeely!


Miss Williams and Mrs. Morris' class learned about land formations. After completing a draw and write, students were given a specific landform to create with a variety of materials. Students collaborated in small groups. At the end of class, students presented their specific landforms to teach their classmates more about wetlands, islands, mountains, and deserts. We are so proud of them and their hard work!










It was a beautiful day for a nature walk! Pre K ventured outside today to explore the woods. They found sticks, rocks & crunchy leaves!

Mrs. Gists' Fourth Grade class had fun at the Harvest Festival last Friday, Oct. 4. They really enjoyed their day out!





Ms. Roberts' Fifth Grade class has been completing science labs that deal with matter and particles. The student's favorite experiments have been the fizzy tablet rockets and the DIY lava lamps.








Smokey the Bear & Sistersville Fire Dept. visited Pre K & Kindergarten classes today. Our students learned about fire safety while exploring the firetruck. Smokey the Bear also impressed upon them the importance of fire prevention, especially during a drought. They were also given a bag of goodies to take home.
