
Parents and guardians, Smile West Virginia is bringing a mobile dentist to Tyler County Schools in January 2025! Please complete the form online or return the copy sent home, to the school nurse. Please have the permission forms completed by the end of this week. If you have any questions, please call the school nurse.


We "launched" an iReady competition at the beginning of the year. The grades compete for the highest number of passed iReady lessons. Today students earned a chance to launch their rockets into space. Thanks to our Title staff for organizing this competition and to our students for working so hard on the lessons. First grade was the clear winner for the first nine weeks!!!








The October accelerated reader bulletin boards for primary and intermediate are quite full. Those students on either board qualifies for the monthly drawing. Today's winners were Lauren Northcraft and Paislee Poling. Congratulations to all of the students who earned a spot on the boards. Keep reading!!!




Today's book vending machine Monday winners at SES are Evann Owens and Hazel Shepard. Congratulations to both students!!!

This week SES staff participated in an "underground spirit week". This is a spirit week that only staff knows about. The observations, comments and questions from the students were priceless. Monday was Christmas in October. Tuesday was crazy socks with sandals or slides. Wednesday was dress in all black. Thursday was costumes. Friday was dress like the students. Thursday was also a fall/halloween themed day for the students.











Mrs. Bohrer & Mrs. Hoover's Pre K class painted pumpkins today. Don't they look spooktacular?

The fifth grade classes at SES visited the WV Independence Hall and the East End Playground in Wheeling/Moundsville today. They experienced a hands on history lesson and had the opportunity to release some energy at the park.











Congratulations to Anthony Peck for earning Mr. Gary's Squires of Character Round Table Award for consistently helping Ms. Greathouse clean up math centers without being asked.



First grade students in Mrs. Smith's room create apple volcanoes in groups.





Mrs. Smith's first grade worked in groups to create landforms and presented them to each other in class.





Lillian Zills was "caught being good" and earned a special prize for going out of her way to welcome a new student. Awesome job!



Our AR winners for September are Grayson Campbell (primary side) & Addie Sailor (intermediate side). Mrs. Ennis' class received a special award for having the most students on the wall. Congratulations to them all! We are so proud of you.
