This morning, we celebrated our 2025 TCMS Student Awards Day by recognizing the hard work and accomplishments of our students throughout the school year.
The afternoon was filled with friendly competition, featuring a Students vs. Staff Quiz Bowl Tournament and our annual 8th Grade Students vs. Staff basketball game. The staff came out on top in both events, but the day was a win for all. A great time and lasting memories for everyone! #KnightsPride

TCMS Parents and Guardians,
Tomorrow, we will be hosting our annual Kickball Tournament alongside our first-ever TCMS Olympic Games.
Please make sure your child wears sunscreen, and remind them to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. It’s going to be a fun and active day outdoors!

Today, TCHS Principal Mr. Morris had the opportunity to speak with the incoming freshman - Class of 2029. He emphasized the importance of getting involved early, making the most of the many academic and extracurricular opportunities available at TCHS, and encouraged students to begin thinking and planning now for their future beyond high school. It was a meaningful introduction to the next chapter in their educational journey. #KnightsPride

Parents/Guardians, please remind your student to bring their school-issued iPad and charger to school tomorrow, Friday, May 30th. These items will be collected as part of our end-of-year process.

Thanks to McKinley Architecture and Engineering who spoke with Mrs. Wright’s and Mrs. Boso’s DYF classes this morning. They learned about what education they would need, job responsibilities, and also other jobs that could be associated with architecture. They also got to examine the site map for the new Tyler Consolidated Elementary School and design a playground and give ideas for an outdoor classroom area.
We are so fortunate for all of the local businesses and community members who have taken their time to meet with these students! #KnightsPride

Throughout WVGSA testing, we recognized our students’ attendance, effort, and positive behavior with daily incentive drawings! On each testing day, one boy and one girl from each grade level were selected to win a $25 Amazon gift card—earning their spot by being present, showing great effort, and maintaining positive behavior during testing. We gave away 20 gift cards in total, totaling $500!
We also held a “Big Drawing” for students who were present for all of their testing days and consistently demonstrated effort and good behavior. The winners each got to pick out a brand-new pair of Nike shoes!
Congratulations to:
• 6th Grade – Asher Steward
• 7th Grade – Conner Surface
• 8th Grade – Sydney VanDyne
A huge thank you to the TCMS Faculty Senate for generously providing all of the incentive prizes. Your support made these rewards possible and helped keep our students motivated!
Way to go, Knights! We’re proud of the hard work you showed during testing!
